The Goose Creek Ordeal / Brotherhood Registration Form (May 2nd – 4th at IWLA – Loudoun)

The VA West Ordeal / Brotherhood Registration (June 6th – 8th at Goshen – free bus)

If you would like to attend the Ordeal as a member, or you’d like to attend to seal your membership in the Order as a Brotherhood member (this will complete your OA induction process), print out, fill out, and mail in the forms to NCAC. IF you haven’t paid your 2003 Lodge dues ($10/year), print out, fill out, and mail in this form as well. Note that in order to take your Brotherhood, you need to have paid your current year Lodge dues.

Please pay particular attention to the VA West Ordeal. The Lodge is in a critical position here. We really need everyone who could possibly attend this event to elect to attend in some role. The service project is opening Goshen. This will be very important as the our Boy Scout Section descends on Goshen for the OA Conclave on June 13 – 15 and Goshen opens for Summer Camp the following week. The Boy Scouts of America as represented by NCAC needs your help to get our summer camp open to deliver program to our Scouts. If you can in any way arrange your schedule to attend, you will be contributing to a mission-critical part of our Council and Lodge program. Your efforts will be appreciated. I was fortunate enough to have all my OA ceremonies (Ordeal, Brotherhood, and Vigil) at my local council camp. Those memories are truly special. Make some special memories for yourself – there is no finer place to recommit to the ideals of Scouting than a scout summer camp!

See you at the Camp O Ree this weekend, and hopefully at one of the Ordeals/Brotherhoods as well!

Yours in Scouting and Brotherhood,

Darwin Bingham

The Goose Creek Chapter Regalia
"It was the teepee that got me in trouble" opens William Seebeck's short essay providing a brief history about the regalia of the Goose Creek District OA chapter. It is smart, captivating, insightfull and fun to read. The story tells of the experience one volunteer had that has helped make a difference in defining who we are, and the heritage of the area in the past.
